Tell him to stop growing up! I feel old!

~Leaf Fun~

My kids loved piling the leaves up and jumping in them! This time around we finally had a pile worth playing in!
Carter almost got lost in it!
Baylee was a little hesitant to put her head all the way down!
Baylee trying to move put was struggling!
They couldn't quit giggling!
It was music to my ears!
Baylee loved it when Carter would lay back and about disappear!

***McKay's 30!***

So McKay turned 30 on November 6th! We left the kids with Grandma Wallin and headed down to St. George on a long awaited date! Seriously we usually have our kids so the last time I can remember just the two of us going a a date is 9 months to a year ago! Yikes! On our way down our car got a flat tire so we has to pull over and put on the spare to get us the rest of the way to a tire shop! I tried to help McKay change the tire but he didn't want me to get my nice clothes dirty, what a sweetheart! So when we finally got it fixed we headed to the tire shop where we didn't just buy one tire to fix the flat we had to buy 4 new tires! I was about in tears because the rest of the tires were fine, but because we have AWD you have to replace all or it will ruin your car somehow! I don't know exactly but it sucked!
After we fixed the tire we headed to dinner! It's always yummy when someone else cooks for the night!
After dinner it was late because the tire took forever so we headed home! On our way home we got pulled over! McKay didn't turn on his blinker... we got off with a warning, thankfully!
I kept telling McKay it was a sign not to go on a date again! Rough night!
So a couple days later we invited the family over and had ice cream cake! McKay's favorite!
Baylee and Carter were way more excited than anyone!
They all helped him blow out his candles to!
Don't mind McKay's face but I love Baylee's! She loves treats!
She was so excited to be sharing!
Happy 30th Babe! We LOVE you so very much!

-Hogle Zoo-

While we were up North for state volleyball and football the Saturday after all those events had taken place we took the kids to Hogle Zoo! Baylee is my animal lover! She was completely fascinated, don't get me wrong Carter loved it as well but we have been to a ton of Zoo's and I think this time Baylee finally knew and could comprehend what she was seeing!
Watching the giraffe's take laps!
It's fun when you catch the animals doing something or even moving about instead of just laying around!
They didn't want to move on to the next animal!
Checking out the lions!
The famous lion drinking fountain wasn't working, Carter was way bummed!
They loved being able to play with all the statue's of the animals along our way!
Baylee loved the babies!
Carter loved being able to ride them!
So when you get close to this elephant he starts making noises and then spits air out his trunk! Well as you can see both my kids were standing right in front of the trunk and he sprayed his air the face on Baylee was absolutely priceless and about the funniest thing I have ever seen and Carter thought it was so funny he kept going back for more!
Watching the elephant wander around!
He never got to close but he was constantly moving!

This one was a little more difficult to ride!
Carter kept slipping!
Carter thought it was pretty cool to finally see eagles since they are so hard to find these days!
This sea lion was chatting away! Carter thought he was pretty funny!
"Wrestling" the polar bears!
I love the underwater exhibit!
Baylee was quite afraid that the bear was close to her! Even though he wasn't moving she was petrified to get close! I think McKay shoved her forward so I could get a picture!
Comparing how tall they are to the bears!
Riding the tigers!
Carter was thrilled to finally see the wolf! Not just one but two! They are always hiding when we have gone before but this time they were up and moving! I am not sure why he loves wolves so much, maybe because they are on a ton of our clothing or it's our school mascot or what but he thinks they are way awesome!

After we saw all the animals we headed over to the train! Carter wanted to do that from the beginning but we talked him into seeing the animals first!
Checking out the zebras on the ride!
More lions!
After the train ride we headed to the carousel which Baylee loved and screamed when it was time to get off!
Baylee got the ugly animal because Carter was determined to ride a polar bear!
They both loved it! They could have gone around all day!
Love these fun trips with my family!
Makes it even more enjoyable when the kids love it and are good to! Seriously though my kids love to vacation as much as McKay and I do!
We had such a fun time and I expect to be back again!

.:Halloween Activities:.

I like to try and make Holidays memorable for my children! Whether I think they are dumb, silly or whatever I want them to find the fun and joy in whatever Holiday it might be! So I try to little activities and we always try and share it with family because being with family is the best!
So for Halloween we took a night to paint pumpkins they picked out from the Staheli Farms pumpkin patch!
No I didn't have to undress my kids because the paint was washable but I did anyway!
Carter was really into it!
Baylee thought it was more fun to paint herself and squish it between her fingers!
I mean who really needs a paint brush!
Her leg looked prettier than the pumpkin!
Then she felt the table needed some color!
...and her hands!
Then a couple nights after we painted pumpkins we went over for our traditional Halloween chili and breadsticks! It is always a family favorite!
Then we carved pumpkins!
Carter and Baylee hated the guts! So Mom ended up scooping it all out!
They tried a couple different times thinking it would be fun and stopped shortly afterwards!
Sam and Scott carving one of Grandma pumpkins!
Carter telling me how he wanted his pumpkin to look!
So I got started!
Just a little stretching while Mom finishes up!
He wanted mad eyes, a rectangle nose and a wavy mouth! I think I got pretty close!
The carving bunch!
On Baylee's pumpkin Carter wanted me to do circles for eyes, a square nose and he didn't know what kind of mouth so I just did one and Baylee thought it was pretty cool so Carter and I must have done good!
Sam and Scott trying to decide what to do on their pumpkin!
Baylee eating more breadsticks!
She approved of the pumpkin!
Outside ready for Halloween night!
So we were up North at Kamas for the state football on Halloween night and so we decided to find a nice neighborhood and let the kids do some trick or treating!
After the game we dressed them up in their costumes!
Carter was determined to be The Hulk! Baylee was a cute Raggedy Ann! My Mom made Baylee's costume back when Sam was little and trick or treating! I love that she has a million we can go through and use and they are all so cute because she is very talented!
The Hulk and Raggedy Ann!
Hulk showing us his muscles!
Ready to go house to house!
Doesn't she look so cute!
It was a little chilly outside but not horrible!
Grandma helping Baylee move along!
Our first house and Baylee was a little scared! She wasn't sure about all the scary things involved with Halloween she didn't even like Carter's costume!
She got more used to it as the night went on! She loved all the suckers she was getting from  every house!
After some good trick or treating we headed into Salt Lake and went out to eat at the Cheesecake Factory where they were able to trick or treat there as well! They had fun and we got just enough candy not to much and not to little! Around one block and my kids were content!
Happy Halloween!
