Family Home Evening during the holidays are always some of my favorite FHE's because their is just a magic in the air and we are focusing on Christ and they just seem to hit differently!

One FHE night we invited Grandma Wallin over to have a little lesson, play a game and read a couple Christmas stories!

The game we played was guess the jellybean flavor! While we were at Universal Studios we grabbed some Harry Potter flavored jelly beans which have some super good ones and super gross ones! It was fun to see the kids try them and their reactions! Even Grandma got in on the action!

Miles liked them all! He was pretty hilarious to watch!

After the jelly bean game we read a couple Christmas stories!

The next FHE we headed to Grandma Wallin's house and the kids put on the nativity! It was pretty cute and hilarious!

They acted it out and sang songs to us!

Then another FHE we headed out to Newcastle and went to the Live Nativity that the Christensen's put on and it was amazing as always! 

Christmas Boxes

The first of December the kids always get a Christmas Box! It always has pajamas and then sometimes it has new church clothes, a Christmas movie, Christmas books, or treats!

We were able to make the end of our ward Christmas party! We got some breakfast and we were able to catch Santa before he needed to head home! Miles was a little unsure at first but gradually as each kid went up he warmed up a little!

I definitely have a favorite spot in my house in the mornings! To be able to look out and see the sunrise every morning is one of my very favorite things to do!

One morning we kept hearing a plane, sounded low and close so we went out on the deck to check it out and sure enough a small  plane was flying right over the top of our house and my sisters house and probably only like 20 feet from the top of the roof! It was crazy how low it was! It made probably 30 passes over our houses and the kids thought it was the craziest and coolest thing ever!

For Christmas McKay got himself a smoker! We were all pretty excited about it!

Also my very best friend in the world had her first baby! Cecelia! She is a doll and we already have arranged her marriage with our Grayson!

Holiday Decorating

We were all a little antsy to decorate the new house! As soon as we got back from our Cali trip at Thanksgiving we started the process! I always thought we had a lot of decorations but then soon realized all the places we have lived before were smaller, so we sure didn't have much to fill out our open spaced house!

The kids love decorating their tree! They can move the decorations all around and they add to it on the regular with things made at school or gifts!

On the built in shelves we have the Christmas village on the right side and our different nativities on the left!
