Day 4 (part 1) ~ Nauvoo

We woke up on our fourth day of travel and touring and started at the Nauvoo Visitors center getting a feel of places we wanted to go and see! Nauvoo was different then I had imagined but I loved it! McKay had been there once before and was happy to be back!

The cemetary was probably one of my most favorite places to visit that day! It just made the people more real to see a headstone and where they were buried! They also had 3 other headstones... Evelyn Rebecca Smith who went by Eve, Daughter of Joseph Smith III and Emmeline 8 months old, Joseph Arthur Smith who went by Arthur, Son of Joseph Smith III and Emmeline 7 months old, and Emmeline Griswold Smith who went by Emma, Wife of Joseph Smith III

Trip Back Home!

So we decided to take the scenic route home from Florida and see some things if we were going to be traveling a long ways anyway! So instead of going through Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, New Mexico and Arizona then Utah! We went from Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois, Missiouri, Kansas, Colorado then Utah! I would say we saw the majority of the United States :)! We left Florida on Thursday the 11th of August around 3 and headed to Atlanta, Georgia where we stayed the night! We woke up Friday and headed to the Georgia Aquarium, we had heard it was way awesome and it is the biggest aquarium in the US!
Carter and McKay in front of one of the many exotic fish tanks!
Carter thought these fish were pretty cool, hence the wide eyed facial expression!
Carter and McKay in the silly peep hole!
Albino Alligator
Japanese Spider Crabs :( I would hate to run into one of these!
Beluga Whale showing off to the crowd!! Grandpa Wallin said Carter liked these whales so much because they reminded him of Grandpa! :) This was one of our most favorite!
Huge Starfish!
Beluga Whale showing off again and saying HI to Carter and Mckay!
Beautiful Animal
Carter and McKay shaking the dolpins fin!
Lots of sharks and I have to say I took this picture and it looks pretty professional!
Look at this fishes lips! Haha they are huge... and it has like a cool hairdo up top!
Shark Whale
We had a ton of fun! Carter really enjoyed himself and was such a trooper! Highly recommended if you are ever out that way!
After we got done at the aquarium we headed to Indianapolis, Indiana where McKay's brother Brett lives with his family to stay the night and visit with them for a short while!

Carter At 6 Months!

We Love this Kid! 6 months has come and gone and way to fast! He is so smart and learning new things everyday!
He loves attention! Loves to grab everything, eat everything he gets his hands on! He loves to roll, usually in circles because he definitely favors rolling to his left! He is a jabber mouth! Loves to hear his voice! He has the cutest giggle! Finds Mom the funniest... because I am obviously! He is sitting up! He loves his Johnny Jumper! Loves watching Uncle Isaac play football! Still in size 3 diapers and needs to go to 12 month clothes but I am putting it off because I feel like if I put him in them he will not be my baby anymore! He will be this big grown up boy!
My Balloon!

Holding onto Grandma Greats balloon like we are going to take it away!
