Day 4 (part 1) ~ Nauvoo

We woke up on our fourth day of travel and touring and started at the Nauvoo Visitors center getting a feel of places we wanted to go and see! Nauvoo was different then I had imagined but I loved it! McKay had been there once before and was happy to be back!
Joseph and Hyrum leaving Nauvoo and heading to Carthage!

Headstones of Joseph Smith Sr. and Lucy Mack Smith... Joseph Smith Jr. (The Prophet) parents!
Headstones from left to right... Hyrum Smith, Joseph Smith Jr. and Emma Hale Smith
The cemetary was probably one of my most favorite places to visit that day! It just made the people more real to see a headstone and where they were buried! They also had 3 other headstones... Evelyn Rebecca Smith who went by Eve, Daughter of Joseph Smith III and Emmeline 8 months old, Joseph Arthur Smith who went by Arthur, Son of Joseph Smith III and Emmeline 7 months old, and Emmeline Griswold Smith who went by Emma, Wife of Joseph Smith III
