Update on the Jones'

Well let's see I guess I better start off with the question that everyone always asks... Does McKay have a job???
No not yet!
But... he has had a meeting with a few guys from IHC and the high school up here in Enterprise have been trying hard to get him a job here being the Athletic Trainer for the school! The high school is all set we are just waiting on IHC! It may only be a part time job... but that is alright with us because right now we just need experience... no one else will hire him because he doesn't have experience! Who knows maybe after a year or two here there will be a full time job open or maybe he will get that experience and someone will finally want to hire him! Everyone is just missing out because he is the best Athletic Trainer out there!
In the meantime McKay has been working out on the farm in the mornings and then comes back for football practice in the afternoons! So he is helping coach the High School football team and has been loving it and also "volunteers" his athletic training knowledge until hopefully will get the okay we are waiting for!
I have been working part time at the highschool in the mornings! My schedule has worked out really great with Carter! In the afternoons I get to play with Carter and get some big projects done around the house while Carter takes his nap! We have got so much done but I feel we have so much more! Currently we are trying to tackle putting in my parents backyard... it's BIG! I am also helping with the little league soccer program and also coaching a team! Games haven't started yet so hopefully everything goes smoothly!
Carter is still as silly as ever! He loves to be outside! He loves his Mom and Dad and lately he doesn't want us to leave his sight! But thank heavens if we do he is over it pretty quick and can adjust to whoever he is with! He is a busy body and lately has been climbing on top of everything! We are also getting ready to move him into another room... living with my parents we have always had to keep him in our room because their havent been enough rooms for him to have his own... all 5 bedrooms have been occupied! Well with my Grandma going back up north and my sister moving to Blanding we have decided to move Isaac to Sam's room and Carter into Isaac's room! So we are trying to get both rooms transitioned and then Carter will finally have his own room! I know you are thinking my heck he is almost a year and a half and he is still in a room with us! Well we had to make due with what we had and it has actually worked out so well! He is a great sleeper, he sleeps in his own bed all night and we never bother him and he never has bothered us! It's worked for us! In fact I think it will be so weird when he isn't in there any more! He still loves to scream and he loves loves loves to make people laugh or to be the one laughing!
We have loved this school year so far! It has been so fun for us! Football is one of our favorite sports to watch! With Isaac playing and starting on the Varsity football team and McKay helping coach we have been to every football game and it is so fun to watch! Carter has loved going to the games to! In fact when I tell him it's game day he gets all excited and wants to go over right away!
Life is busy and we are loving every second of it!

=Boys Weekend=

Last weekend we had my nephews over to play and hang out! 4 boys equals trouble, screaming, messy and your always on your toes! But Carter loved the friends and didn't love the so much of sharing toys... only child if ya can tell! We picked them up Friday night and took them Uncle Isaac's football scrimmage then out to Marv's! Saturday morning we woke up to some delicious French Toast and playing!
Here Carter and Tallon took turns pushing each other around in Lightning McQueen!
Carter's first bath with others! He hated it! He was to afraid to sit and just wanted to get out! Not enough room I guess!
After lunch we went and bought a sno-cone from Uncle Isaac! They were super delicious!
Carter loves the juice!
Later that day we headed to St. George to play at the splash pad and run a few errands!
Carter really likes the water coming down the rocks! He could have spent all his time there!
Yes Carter needed a shirt... he is a whitey!
Dayne, Carter and Tallon cooling off!
Dayne and Tallon covering up the sprayers!
Carter did not like the actual splash pad! He hated when it got him in the face! So he sat back and watched with Dad!
All Dayne wanted to do was lay in the water! Everywhere we went he would plop himself down!
Tallon trying to block as many as he can!
Carter finally would stand by them for anout 2 minutes at a time but then would come running back and just watch!
AJ sitting in the middle!
Tallon kept kicking water at Carter and Carter was just busting up laughing! He thought it was so funny!
Carter laughing at Tallon!
The boys relaxing! Dayne started it!
Carter's perfect seat!
After the splash pad we went out to eat at Red Robin! That was an interesting experience!
Sunday we went to church and the boys did really well then they headed home! It was a fun weekend and happy we were able to spend some time with them!
Thanks Boys!

-Working w/ Dad-

Well McKay has been working out on the farm for the summer and Carter and I took a night to go visit him and of course let Carter ride the tractor since he has been obsessed with them lately!
Watching the hay cubes pile up!
Driving on the tractor with day and filling up the cuber!
Carter loves little moments like this! It is fun to see his reaction and how cool he thinks his Dad is for driving these huge vehicles!

.:.Piles.:.

So Carter has had this new obsession with his toys lately! He puts them in piles just about anywhere but most commonly on the stairs by the front door! It is pretty funny and can keep him entertained for hours!
This particular day he loaded them all in his car...
Parked it then loaded them onto the stairs...
Then sat down and rearranged them over and over again!
Then Mom would come around the corner and he would start hiding them behind his back and pretend he didn't have anything or was up to nothing!
Hiding them behind his back!
It is one of the funniest things I have seen and he does this on a regular basis!

~Carter at 17 Months!~

I know I say this everytime but time keeps going by faster! Carter is growing up so fast and I am not sure I like how fast the time really goes! Each month he just learns more and more and I love every moment of it! I am sad school is starting back up again... I really have enjoyed my summer off being a full time Mom with Carterman! I know I only have 3 1/2 hours a day which is nothing and Carter probably doesn't even notice because Gma J is so fun and good with him but I have not been ready for school to start and now it is just around the corner!
Some of Carterman's highlights: he is an awesome sleeper! Most days he tells me he is ready for naptime and he leads the way right to his room! Some days he will wake up as McKay is heading out the door for work so McKay will give him hugs and kisses then put him in bed with Mom and he will fall right back to sleep!
Here is one of those days that he fell back to sleep after Dad left! So peaceful!
Here he is not quite aware of his surroundings as he wakes up! So cute!
He plays so good around the house! I was sick for a few days and it's like he knew I was feeling like crap and he would just play in the living room while I layed there and then he would come and check on me every once in a while... give me hug and kisses then talk to me in his jabber language then walk away and go play again! He took such good care of me!
He loves to hit the ball off our homemade tee! He typically holds the bat the wrong way but it is easier for him to control it that way so we let him! He still loves balls and shooting hoops! He is definitely all BOY!!!
He loves treats! He really loved this ice cream cone!
He is such a tease and he knows it! He is a screamer... well likes to be heard! He is constantly smilin' and he still only has 8 teeth!
He loves trucks, tractors, diesels and anything big like that! He is constantly pointing at them when we drive and he wants us to tell him what it is!
He has quite the array of faces lately! The best one is of him giving you a dirty look because he doesn't like something you did or he did to himself!
We bought this train for him before he turned a year and he loved it then but then kinda grew out of it! But now he has rediscovered it and loves it! He could sit there forever and put the blocks in and out and turn the pages!
My aunt and uncle bought him a gift and brought it over the other day and Carter loved being able to open it and find his new treasure!
Balls and a hoop! What more could he ask for! He loved it!
We have been getting some rain lately and Carter has enjoyed watching it and playing in it! He especially loved picking up worms!
Carter loves to make piles on the stairs of anything he can see or find! Another post to come on this later!
Likes jumping on the tramp... alone!
Dunking his Oreo in milk! YUMMY!
Still loves the iPad and Gma W always lets him play!
Mr. Cheeser! Anytime we say cheese to take a picture... this is the face we typically get!
Loves bathtime!
He loves to watch shows! Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Backyardigans are his very favorite!
We got his first baseball mit and ball and he is still figurin out but trys all the time and really enjoys it when he can do it his own way!
Loves swimming as long as he isn't getting splashed in the face!
WEE!
Splash!
Donut Man!
Eating the delicious donuts Gma W made!
He loves it outside and even more when Dad comes home from work and plays with him!
So handsome in his Sunday outfit!
Still loves this little slide!
He loves to drink and he is the best eater! He is not picky and he will eat his whole plate gone!
He loves his toys! He plays very well and can keep himself entertained for hours!
His newest obsession is wearing shoes! If he spots shoes he will go put them on and walk around the house in them... and he really walks well in them!
Loves to ride around on the bike!
"He wears no pants!"
Coming in from checkin out the weather after breakfast!
He loves loves loves Books! He loves to sit on Gma's rocker and read!
Chowin down on a corndog!
The other day Carter grabbed his flip flops and brought them to Gma to put on so she put them on and he walked around. After a short while he came back and wanted them off... so she took them off! Well he walked away and came back with his socks so she put them on and he walked away and came back with his Sunday shoes and wanted them on so she did and then he was perfectly fine and walked around for about an hour with them on! He looked so silly and I couldn't quite laughing!
Carter tries really hard to copy everything we say! He says a handful of things you can understand... but we still are working on it! He still signs really well! We read scriptures at night and the last verse we say, "Carter your turn," and he will try really hard to repeat what we say then he will clap when he is done! It's pretty cute!
His hair is really starting to grow! You still can't tell because it is so blonde but it is! No I do not want to cut it... it is to cute the way it is! Carter loves to dance and now he shakes his booty and it is pretty cute if I say so myself!
We LOVE our Carterman!
