Day 3

Day 3

Wednesday July 10, 2013
Today we got up and headed to Independence, Missouri!
Carter watching the iPad while everyone was finishing showering and getting ready!
The crew headed up to the visitor's center at Independence, the building you see in the Temple for the Church of Christ!
Looking at the Temple site!
We went through the presentation at the Visitor's Center and then we headed to Liberty Jail!
I liked Liberty! It was really interesting and it is actually McKay and I's second time taking the tour!
The look of the Jail and what they had to live in for those long winter months!
Next we headed to Far West! There wasn't much up there but a few plaques that gave some very interesting stories and background to Far West that I didn't know!
One of the cornerstones for the temple that was laid in representation of the High Priesthood!
In the right hand of the photo you'll see the corner of a glass case which had the cornerstone in it!
Carter riding his bike to catch a break from the motor home!
This cornerstone was laid in representation of the First Presidency!
One of the 4 cornerstones!
This memorial told a little bit about the temple site and the people!
This cornerstone was laid in representation of the Lesser Priesthood!
This cornerstone was laid in representation of the High Council (quorum of the 12)!
Leaving Far West and heading to St. Louis, Missouri!
Carter exploring all areas of the motor home!
Arrived in St. Louis right in time for the game!
Our family loves baseball games! We go to a lot of games during the summer, mainly in California, so it was nice to see a new stadium! In fact if McKay and I had the money we would hit all the baseball stadiums in the United States!
Busch Stadium, St. Louis Cardinals
Beautiful field!
The game was a little warm but it was still tons of fun! The Cardinals played the Houston Astros and the home team won! YEAH!

Isaac photo bombed our family pic!
This game was so much fun! We had a blast! We bought Carter a rally monkey and he was in love with it! He thought it was pretty awesome!
