Well my Mom has always wanted to do the Church Tour Vacation and she decided in November of 2012 that she was going to do it in the summer of 2013 and anyone that wanted to come was more than welcome! Well as time got closer we started to talk and make plans and find dates that would work out for all that were planning on going, that included Sam & Scott, McKay and our family plus of course my Mom, Dad and Isaac! We set a date, my Mom, Dad and McKay mapped out a plan of attack for our 14 day vacation and we hit the road on July 8th, 2013!
We decided to take a motor home because one it is cheaper than 2 hotel rooms a night, plus gas of 2 cars, plus Carter could roam around and not be strapped in a seat belt for hours on end and we could drive late into the night or start early in the morning and people could still sleep! We were all so excited!... really we were though!
Day 1
Monday July 8, 2013
We drove from Enterprise to the East side of Denver on the first day rolling into Denver about 1 or 1:30ish in the morning!

Day 2
Tuesday July 9, 2013
We stayed at a KOA most nights on the road! We got up just when everyone was ready... mainly to give the drivers some time to sleep due to a long night and a long day ahead of us!

We drove from Denver to Kansas City, Missouri and stayed our second night! The drive that day was horrible because it was one of the hottest days of July thru that part of the country we were driving and our air conditioner stopped working and we couldn't figure out how to fix it! So we were all just sweating up a storm! We were hot, onery and irritable! We were all wondering if we could keep going... sad that only on our second day we were having these feelings!
We finally arrived in Kansas City, Missouri and we quickly got our swimsuits on and went swimming!

This looks like so much fun! What a great idea to take a motor home. I bet it made the trip a lot less stressful. I can't wait to hear about the rest of your trip. You have been a bloggin' lady lately and I love it! Keep it up!!
