~Point Reyes Day 2~

Day 2 was Sunday so we got up and went to Church at a chapel a few miles away! After church we decided to head to Point Reyes! McKay and I have been there before and we thought it was beautiful and knew my family would love it! Point Reyes is a National Seashore and is home to one of the largest populations of tule elk and it is a breeding ground for the once nearly extinct elephant seals. Jutting 10 miles into the Pacific Ocean, Point Reyes offers one of the best spots for viewing the migrations of the California gray whale. Which we were lucky enough to spot one! It was also a very windy day so the waves were crashing in hard!

I know it is hard to see but the whale is right in the middle! We were very lucky to see spot a whale on the day we were there! The migration of these whales are from Jan. to April! This was a baby whale and they called it a straggler who got lost from the herd! It was way awesome to see him pop up and down and blow his water!
Carter and Isaac waiting for us to hike back up! It is a 30 story climb to the bottom and then a 30 story climb back up! way down wasn't bad the way up was a little brutal so thank heavens they had stops especially us carrying a kid!
We forgot Carter's jacket so we had to use Sam's! Oh I love this face!

Another pit stop!
On our drive back we had to visit the cows! Carter loves animals!
Later that night after dinner we took Carter to the park there at the resort!
Ready, Set, Go!
We had to play a little ping pong! Carter rocked it!
Of course a little iPad time!
More to come...
