Missionary Reunion!

Well McKay had a missionary reunion this last weekend and I have to say it was a blast! I was actually kinda dreading it... seeing I know noone and McKay hasn't been to one since he has been home! I know it is typical to hold the missionary reunions more around the time of General Conference but his mission president and wife are natives to Brasil... so to have them in states is a once in a lifetime opportunity!

It all started on Saturday when we left St. George to head up to Orem! We headed over to his favorite missionary comps to leave our stuff since his wife, boy and him were nice enough to let us stay! We have kept in touch with them since he got off his mission and are great friends and have the cutest little boy ever! We then headed over to the institute building to start the fun! At first it was a lot of catch up and remembering faces! Then we did a little "zone conference meeting" like they used to do in the mission! It was amazing! We discussed Moroni 7, a talk and then were blessed to her from his missionary president and his wife! They really touched the meeting and I was so happy to be able to get in on a part of my husband's life that I have only heard about! To end the meeting the all gathered in a circle and sang a song that they would always sing in Portugese and I have to say that was the coolest part of the whole thing!

So here is the comp we stayed with, Clay Ogden! We were sitting there looking over Moroni 7 when his cute boy started to get a little fussy cause he had no toys to play with so Ogden pulled a dollar out of his pocket and let his son play with it and yeas he is eating it! HAHA!Seth Schenfeld! His "cool" comp!Owen... most of them I just know last names! Single ladies... this one right here has the cutest smile and is so nice and just cute! Happy Birthday Aubrey!

Happy Birthday Girlie!Today is my first niece's birthday! I can't believe how fast she is growing! She turns 6 years old today and we wish her the best birthday ever! We love her so much! She has a special place in my heart letting me be a first time aunt!! So hope she gets spoiled and has the best day ever!

Ence Family Reunion!

Anyways we had the Ence Family Reunion on the 10th and 11th of this month and had so much fun! It is always fun to be with family especially those you don't see as often! Grandma and Grandpa Ence have a cabin up in Pinto where we always hold the reunion! It is so beautiful up there and so much cooler than St George! McKay and I were finally able to use our tent, first time to use it and we loved it! It is only a 5 man but very spacious and it was fun to use it for the first time! In the pictures our tent is the orange topped one!

Coming down the road to the Cabin!When we got there we enjoyed a good dinner... thanks to the Lee Ence Family! We then just played some games like volleyball and Phase Ten into the wee hours of the night, talked and just enjoyed the outdoors!

After we got done playing with the crawdads we went back and let the kids hit a Pinata! (I think I spelled that wrong!)

One of our uncles brought his dog and the kids loved throwing the frisbee and watching him catch it! This went on all day!

We enjoyed the company and rally had a good time! I love the outdoors and camping so it was way fun to me! Thanks to all the family for such a great time!

~July Update~

Well July has been verily busy this year, haha actually was last year to! Anyways we started off celebrating one of McKay's uncles 50th wedding anniversary! They invited all those that could to meet at the St. George Temple on the 30th of June and start the celebration where it started 50 years ago! I loved it! Then on the 1st of July we meet up in Pine Valley and had dutch oven and just enjoyed being with family! We loved be able to celebrate with them!

On the 2nd we got to babysit my niece and nephew! We decided to take them swimming at my grandmas house and the kids just loved it!

Right before we went swimming AJ spilled ice cream all over him so I had to wash his pants and shirt well he had this lighting McQueen hat and saw McKay had one sitting around so he put them on the both of them and I took this picture and found it quite funny and cute!Next was my mom's birthday which we celebrated at Red Robin! It was yummy and we embarrassed her! :)

On Saturday the 4th my sister and I had to work it was a really slow day so we were able to get off early and head up to Brian Head and see some fireworks! My family has kinda made it a tradition to head up there for the fireworks cooler and less crowded! We took along a couple friends Kelli and Scott! We had a ton of fun! My parents got spots literally right by and under the fireworks! My mom actually got burned... seriously!

Then we got to celebrate our 1st year anniversary on Sunday the 5th! We celebrated a little earlier in Florida! Then are going to dinner on Thursday to really just be us for it! We loved the first year and hope all are as good as this year was!

Yesterday McKay and I headed up to Enterprise to have a cookout with the Jones family and really enjoyed the cool weather and being with the family!

Yes we celebrated our 1st year anniversary today! We can not believe it has been one whole year! Time has flown and we have loved every minute of it! We have had all our firsts (holidays and birthdays) together, did a few vacations and just enjoyed the adjusting of two different people! We love married life and all that it entails and happy we get to go through life together! We have had a lot of ups and downs but still survived!
