The kids and I decided to take a trip to the reservoir. Dad was working, we were all getting a little stir crazy at the house so we loaded up and headed out! There was still some huge chunks of ice floating around in the reservoir! The kids had fun throwing big rocks at the ice trying to get it to break.
We found an area where the ice was still thick and connected to the shore! Some of the kids decided to walk on the ice, it made me nervous, I told them if they heard cracking to slowly back up off! Luckily the ice was just really thick!
As the older kids played on the ice, Miles was throwing rocks in the water and slipped in the mud and fell in! It was pretty hilarious, he was pretty annoyed though!
So we took off everything that was wet and wrapped him up in a blanket in the car!
As we were leaving we headed to the backside of the dam, it was so incredibly beautiful! The water leaking through the dam was frozen and it looked magical!
Loved our spontaneous trip! The kids were so fun and we had a blast!
