Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve the day of fun anticipation! My kids were so excited they knew we would see cousins and play and they also knew that the next day was Christmas! We got an early Christmas present! A king size bed! We couldn't be more thrilled, McKay and I LOVE each other very much but when we sleep we like our own space! Plus I swear one of the kids always works their way into our bed at some point during the night so with the extra space it is like they aren't even there!

Every Christmas Eve we head down to St. George and go to Grandma Ence's house! She always has dinner and a program! We love the time we get to spend down there with them! Some years there are a lot of Ence's that make it and others not as many! This year was about average! We ate a delicious dinner! Then read a book and sang songs! The kids dressed up in the nativity! They were sure cute!

Carter started out as a wise man but McKinley was an angel and he wanted to be just like her so he ended up being an angel!

Baylee was an angel but got sick of the dressing up 5 minutes after she had it on!

Uncle Kerry read the story and after certain passages we would sing the song that coincided with the passage!

After the story which was the Christmas story it was time to unwrap the presents Grandma Ence had got the kids!

Baylee got a doll! Her favorite part was that her eyes opened and closed! She has dolls but she hates that they won't close their eyes!

After Grandma Ence's we headed home praying not to hit a deer this year! We didn't, thank heavens! We headed over for a quick stop at Grandma Wallins to open a gift to the kids!

McKay and I got a BYU one! It was actually started for our wedding as a camping quilt but we never got around to finishing it and my Mom finally finished it! She is super woman! Seriously though!

Christmas is off to a wonderful start!

It took some time to get the kids settled down and in bed because they were so excited but we finally did and then the elves got to work!
