Enterprise had some pretty scary fires during the summer. This one in June was by far the scariest, it literally surrounded the neighborhood where friends, family and our new home is located!
The house at the very bottom of this road is my sister Samantha's and out home is directly to the left of hers! The fire was literally in our backyard!
Our subdivision was evacuated so we headed to my Mom's and this was the view from her backyard!
Very smoky!
Fire all along the ridge!
Quickly coming down the side!
We were on the news as it was happening!
This view is from my in law's house looking over at Rourke and Michelle Terry's home, I thought they were gonna lose it! So grateful they didn't!
This view is also from the from the front of my in law's and looking at Fenton and Ilona Terry's home!
One of many planes helping fight the fire!
The whole mountainside lite up the night skies!
These pics only show a few of the many firefighters that were trying to save this town! Here they are in the backyard of Marie Huntsman's home doing all they can to keep it away from the houses up there! She lives at the top of our subdivision, a block up and a block over from us!
This amazing picture of the planes doing their jobs and saving our homes! These houses are just up the street from ours!
This was a very scary day for so many!
Our house is just up and around the bend from this!
Our house is the cream and brown one in the middle bottom of this picture! The house at the very top of ours is the one where you saw the firefighters on her back porch spraying down her backyard!
Orange skies!
You can see the fire came right up to the backyard of all these houses, our house is the cream one in the middle!
The burned area from our deck, literally the very edge of our backyard!
To the right of our backyard and all the burned area! I can't believe how close it was to all our homes!
Our subdivision was surrounded on 3 of the 4 sides! We are extremely lucky the winds changed directions or we would have seen a lot of lost homes!
The end of our street!
Their was one home lost, these pictures are where it once stood.
Our home is the cream and brown one on the right side of the green barn!
How close it got to Fenton and Ilona Terry's home!
Aerial view of the burned area!
Our subdivision is the group of homes surrounded by burned area on three of the 4 sides we are so grateful their wasn't more damage!
Caused by dry conditions and a lightning strike!
