Our family home evenings were pretty awesome this Christmas season!
The first Monday we headed down to St. George with the Jones family! We meet at the temple, walked around and looked at the lights, listened to the nativity and explored the visitors center!
We Love To See The Temple!
Grandpa and Owen talking about the nativity!
Ella, Taya and Baylee
Taking selfies with Aunt Kelli!
Finally the whole crew got there and we listened to the nativity!
Afterwards we headed to Brick Oven where Grandpa treated us to pizza and rootbeer!
McKay and I were at the cool kids table!
We had Carter, McKinley, Lyndon, Baylee...
...can't forget Owen!
Owen couldn't quit touching everything and eventually got ahold of the pitcher of water and spilled half of it on McKay's pants!
The Monday before Christmas we held our annual Jones Family Book Reading! We skyped Beth's and Brett's family! Everyone was able to listen!
McKay was the reader this year!
McKay, Carter and Baylee!
Now the Wallin side held their family home evenings on Sunday night and we started the Sunday after Thanksgiving and hit every Sunday up to Christmas! My Mom bought us a nativity that came with a book titled, "A Christ Centered Christmas"!
Each Sunday we would read about two of the characters in the nativity and get a little insight on them and their role in the birth of Christ!
My Mom also bought us these New Testament scriptures so we could read the passages each Sunday that went with the nativity piece we were talking about!
It was a great way to spend time as a family and remember the true meaning of the season! Plus she always had a fun treat to go along with the night!
One night we made sugar cookies and decorated them!
Another night we had hot chocolate...
...Baylee loved the hot chocolate!
Owen couldn't get enough either!
Carter didn't mind it but thought playing was more fun!
Ellie seemed to really love it!
Hot chocolate and candy canes!
We loved having these family moments with reminders of why we are celebrating in the first place!
