It was time for our yearly Wallin family vacation, this year we picked to go to Solvang, CA, we try and pick new places every year! We were all ready to go making the last minute plans and getting wash done when my Mom called and said that my Dad wasn't doing to well! His cast was leaking fluid which meant liquid was coming out of his foot from the surgery which also meant he had to drive up north immediately to see his doctor! He had an infection which meant he was staying at the hospital for at least 4 days! Which also meant my Mom and Dad were not going to be able to come on vacation! We were all super bummed and not quite knowing what to do! Well our family and Sam's family decided to still go! Sunday morning we headed to sacrament then went home packed the car and headed to California!

We hit the road around 11 a.m. and moved on our way!

We stopped in Vegas for lunch, we just brought stuff for sandwiches, found a park ate, stretched out legs then hit the road again!
We finally hit the coast! The kids were thrilled!
We still had a bit of driving to do so to pass time and the anxiousness of the kids to be out of the car we broke out the treats!

After about 8 1/2 to 9 hours on the road we finally made it!
I brought some stuff to make spaghetti and while I cooked the kids made themselves comfortable in their room!
