~Yosemite and Home Day 8~

Well we planned to get up early and hit the road! But since we had such a late night in Oakland we left a couple hours later and in the long run it worked out for the best as you will see!

We didn't head straight home! We wanted to spend a few hours in Yosemite! Once we got there we took the loop and saw Bridalveil Falls!

So we were going to get a hotel room and then head home since it was 6 o'clock when we got done in Yosemite but the drivers of both cars decided we were just going to go for it! So we drove all night and landed home in Enterprise at about 5:30-6:00 in the morning! So good thing we slept a couple more hours than planned! It was a GREAT week! Exhausting and Relaxing all in one! We love vacation and happy we were able to take this trip with my family because it was muchly needed! Plus we had to really party for those 3 grads!

~Oakland Day 7~

On this day we headed into Oakland and had quite a full schedule! We first went to the Oakland Zoo, Carter loves animals and we knew this would be a really big hit with him! We saw all sorts of animals and he liked them all but the ones he loved the most were the ones that were moving and busy doing things!

In Utah we have a lot of bats but I am so grateful that aren't these ones! Look how huge!

After a long morning at the Zoo we headed over to the Oakland Temple!

After Carter woke up McKay took him to the stream and let him dip his feet in!

After the temple we went to an A's game which completed our baseball fields in Cali! This game was fun because they had fireworks at the end and a lot of homeruns hit during the game!

The firework show! It was a great one! They had so many fireworks that we have never seen in Utah that were way cool! Carter was a little scared at first because of how noisy they were but after a few he almost forgot about the noise... partly due to him covering his ears... and really enjoyed them!

After the game we headed back to the resort! It was a very long and exhausting day! Especially for the little boy! He fell asleep on the ride home and we took him out and put pj's on him and slept thru the whole thing! All while snuggling with his new giraffe we got him at the zoo!

All tuckered out!

~Lake Day 6~

So the boys started out this morning playing some golf at local club while Sam, Carter and I went swimming again!

Carter kept getting out of the pool and sitting on the loungers because he thought he was a big boy!

My Dad won then it was McKay and Scott and Isaac tied! All in all I think they all really enjoyed the morning!

After golf and swimming we went to a Lake! The had a lagoon were you could swim just off the lake and then a lake where you could kayak, canoe, paddleboat or use a small boat and cruise around the lake or fish!

McKay, Carter, Isaac, Gma and I went on a 4 man paddle boat! We had a ton of fun!

All Carter wanted to do was touch the water and pretty soon that wasn't good enough and he really just wanted to jump in!

After we left the lake we went back to our room and swam a little more and made a delicious dinner! Grilled salmon with rice pilaf and grilled zucchini! YUM YUM YUM!!!

Before bed Carter and Gpa watched a movie on the iPad! What a nice relaxing day!
