~Stairs and Black Eye~

So Carter has been able to climb the stairs for a long time now and has been able to go down with supervision for a little while but lately he has perfected his speed while going down them! It is the funniest thing to watch... concentrate on his legs!...

So Carter had his doctor's appt. on the 14th of this month so McKay and I headed to Cedar! Doctor appt. are already traumatic because they always give shots well it only got worse from there! As the doctor is talking to us Carter is just walking around the room to keep happy and busy as he is turning to come back to us he messes up his footing and nails his chin on the corner of the square metal garbage can! Then the lady comes in to give him shots! To say the least we leave with a very sad boy! After the appt. we go to Maurices to look around and waste some time and he trips over a shirt that fell on the ground and bumped his head then he is playing in the dressing room while I am looking around and bonks his head on the wall! Yes there is more... after he goes into the dressing room with me as I try on a shirt and trips again and hits his eye on the bench and it gets cut and immediately bruises! The day before that he had fallen on the cement and road rashed his nose and cheek! So here are some pictures of the poor kid on his to say the least rotten day!

This was a bad day but honestly he usually is always getting hurt because he is such a dare devil! He also thinks he is bigger than he really is! I guess thats all part of being a boy!

Birthday Party!

Well this is a little late but we had a little party for Carter the night before his birthday and really enjoyed the company that came! We made him a giraffe cake... it so didn't turn out like expected and I started rushing thru it at the end! He just stared around at all of us while we sang thinking what wierdos we were!

Us singing to him and him supposed to be blowing out his candle but instead he wanted to do it his own way... he put it out with his finger! We tried to stop him but weren't quick enough! He didn't even seem to think it was hot or hurt him!... Tough boy!

He really liked to squeeze and mash the icing between his fingers!... and of course he went for the black frosting first!

He got way spoiled! Thanks everyone for the gifts! A race track... he loves this one!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HADLEE!!!

Yesterday was Hadlee's Birthday and she turned 2! We can't believe it has been two years! It is sad to say but it seems like a dream! We miss her everyday.... we know she is in a better place and that she had better things to do on the other side!

I know you guys won't believe this... but it is true... but we know Carter knows her and loves her! We have a photo album and a couple pictures of her around the house and he will always go get them smile and talk to her and give her kisses and he will always want us to flip through the pages of the photo album and he just loves that! We will say her name and he perks up and smiles! It is the sweetest thing!

We love to go visit her! Carter will just play around her headstone and jabber away like he is telling her all about how weird his Mom and Dad are! We are so thankful to those that went and put balloons and flowers on her grave... I get so overwhelmed by their kindness and love and so much appreciate it! Thanks to all who remembered her special day!

We love that we have an Angel watching over us! We love that she is apart of our family and we were so blessed to have her as our daughter! We cherish the time that we were able to hold and love her and look forward to the day that we can be with her again!

Trips, Softball and Outside!

Well we have had a busy fun filled last few weeks! Carter has loved every minute of it!

For those of you that don't know I am helping coach the Enterprise Girls Softball Team! The second weekend in March we played in a Mesquite Tournament  we stayed 2 nights and were outside for 2 full days! Carter LOVED it! He absolutely loves to be outside and play in the dirt and run around! In fact he sits at our front door and pounds on it crying because we won't let him out! he also loves to watch the girls play and even more likes to flirt with them! We also were going to try and go swimming but the water was to cold for Carter!

 The weather was beautiful in Mesquite! We had to keep Carter's binky in because he kept trying to eat the dirt and rocks!

 After we got done in Mesquite Saturday we went back to St. George and had a picnic and played at the park!

 So fun to have nice weather to go outside all the time!

 We were trying to teach him to go down the slide and he didn't like our way! He wanted to do it his way which is the same way he goes down stairs! Backwards! It was so fun and cute! All we would say is turn around!

We can't keep him inside anymore! So we are really ready for summer we just wish Enterprise was ready to!

Carter at 12 Months!

Well I am not quite 10 days late on this but late nonetheless! Carter is growing like a weed! He is clever, smart, tricky, spoiled, happy, funny and super fun! We can't get enough of him! He constantly has us laughing! We went to his 1 year appt. and he now weighs 22 lbs. and 4 oz. which puts him in the 42% so he iscoming down now! He is 30 1/2 in. tall which puts him in the 73% so came down a little! So he is still tall but not as chubby as he used to be! Also he has 4 teeth now! 2 on top and 2 on bottom! 

He likes to fold his arms for prayers, he LOVES to be outside! He will sit at the door and bang at it and whine because he wants to go outside so bad! he loves to hear his own voice! He loves treats and snacks! He loves balls... he likes throwing them, rolling them, shooting them and bouncing them up and down! Still loves the bath! he loves books! He is all over the place! He wants to move move move! He still will cuddle with Mom but it is getting to be lots shorter! He likes to go to the park and softball games! He has the cutest laugh! He loves to play with cars! He is always falling down and is definitely all boy!

He will do a penguin impression when you ask him by flapping his hands to his side! When he hears a dog bark he will bark back and loves to see dogs! He loves to go see the horses and chickens at Gma and Gpa Jones' house! He loves to play with cousins! He still loves my hair! He just stroke's his hands thru it! In fact sometimes he gets carried away and pulls way hard and yes I feel like I am losing so much hair I may be bald by 25 and it is all breaking off because of him! But it is really sweet and if I am ever holding him you will always see him holding my hair! He still loves stroller rides!

We ate ribs for dinner one night and McKay gave him the bone to naw on and he loved it! He looked like a little puppy dog!
