Grandpa Ferguson!

Well last Friday my grandpa Ferguson went in for open heart surgery, it lasted 5 hours which is longer than normal but they did do 7 bypasses!! It was definitely a suprise, for one he is the best at exercising for the age he is at! He does an hour in the morning and an hour at night, either swimming, biking or walking! Second he has never had a health problem in his life! So I guess at 83 something was bound to happen!

Anyways he was released from the hospital today and seems to be doing really well! He said he hasn't felt any pain as of yet so that is really good! The first few days he was on Dopamine and it made him hallucinate and I have to say they were so dang funny the things he would say from his hallucinations! He had us laughing the whole time! Some things he said were:

-2 golden trumpets hanging on the wall
-Head coming down a slippery slide
-Mannequin with flowered swimsuit
-12-15 pussycats in a ball
-Beverly(his wife) bending over uncovered
-Clark(his great grandson, who lives in Texas) standing in the doorway
-Group of people sitting in a room and the people would change from time to time
-Diana(his daughter who is white) as a black woman
-Huge man with long bushy hair eating while watching a track meet
-Wig came off a woman on tv
-Motorhome coming down a hill and then went off the side of the road

So as you can tell he had some interesting things go on that were pretty dang funny! We are happy he is home and in a good recovery so far and looking forward to a full recovery here in a few months! He is tough!Here he is with grandma! He could hear us at this time but couldn't talk or open his eyes yet!

If any one knows my grandpa Ferguson not really a guy for affection! So we had my sister give him a kiss on the forehead while he couldn't do anything about it!!! :)

All these pictures are of him right out of surgery! He looks a lot better now and a lot more life like!!! He was hooked up to so many tubes and monitors it was crazy! but each day they slowly started taking them all away! By the last day there he was off them all! I was suprised how fast they had him get up and moving! After the surgery they had him sit up then sit in a chair and the following day they had him walking!!! They say they have to move that fast so they know if everything is all right with his 'new plumbing'!

Happy Birthday Dad Jones!!!

Well as you can tell today is Dad Jones' BIG Birthday!!! One year older and he still looks Great! Yesterday we went up to Enterprise and celebrated early with a wonderful BBQ dinner and ice cream cake! I think it was everyone's favorite part! Then today we went over again for dinner and more ice cream cake! Lucky us!!!

Anyways we just wanted to say hApPy BiRtHdAy and that we really appreciate all he does and has done!!! You are the best and we love you so much!

My DREAM Car!!!

So I have wanted this car for a long time! Ever since it came out. I have always loved Pontiac! McKay has had two since we have been dating and I really love the car they are great!... and one day when I have money and if they don't update the model I want a Pontiac G8 GT! Amazing sports car! I want it in black even though these pictures are in silverish!...One Day...

I have to say I have the cutest neices and nephews in the world!

This last weekend we went up to my mom's house and my two nephews and neice from my side were there for the day! I just had such a fun time with them! They always make me laugh! They are all getting so big! They all have birthday's coming up and I just can't believe they are turning one year older! Seemed like just yesterday they were little enough to hold still! Now they all just want to run around! Here are some pics of my cute kids!!!...

Here is cute Tallon! He always has the biggest and cutest smile on his face! How can ya have a bad day with a cute kid like that!!!...Here is AJ and Tallon! AJ is always picking on the poor kid! But I guess as long as he doesn't cry we are good!!!... Oh and AJ is such a funny boy! For a kid who didn't talk till like just a few months after two he sure says the funniest things!Aubrey is just getting bigger by the day! She loves being in charge! She said the funniest thing the other day! She goes grandma I have this girl in my class she is so loud and so annoying! Well if any one knows Aubrey is she is always so loud and off the walls! So it just made us laugh!!!Here is the craft they did! Grandme was so nice to buy all these fun activites for them! They turned out way cute and they definitely explain who they are! Aubrey loves dance and singing and anything girlie! AJ loves sports! Anything to do with a sports ball he is all about it! Tallon well AJ kinda did his!!!Tallon again being his smiley self!!! Gotta love this kid!

Well McKay plays basketball every Wednesday night! Well this night they talked him into staying and being a ref for the next game! Anyway I thought he looked so sexy that I had to take pictures and share! I could totally see him being a ref just for fun! He had so much fun calling charges, because he doesn't think refs call them enough!!! So he made sure to call plenty!!! So here is my handsome!... Sorry you can't see it very well but he was always moving!!!

SOFTBALL!!!

So we have some great friends, Megan and Colten Bracken! They asked us to play in a co-ed softaball league with them this spring... and of coarse we said YES!!! We are so excited... one just to be able to play together is always so much fun, second we love our sports and third its with great friends! Our first game is tonight and we can't wait to play!!! We will have to let you know how the season goes!

Not always good news...

I look at this blog like a journal about our life and a way to keep records of all that has happened.

I would love life to be perfect and I would love to say I never had anything depressing to post about... but without trials we would never grow! I have been debating whether to post about this but I feel I need to! One clear up some rumors and two to let you know why I may not have been myself this last couple months!

The first of January my family had found out my brother had been using hard core drugs again! He has been to jail twice in the last month for possession. He was sober for a while but relasped.
.
I have to say my parents have been so strong! They have been dealing with this on and on for over 11 years. I look up to them so much and I don't know how they have made it through. They have done everything they can. They pray and pray and pray. They truly are amazing. Most couples would have seperated by now, but it has only made my parents closer as a coulple and our family closer as a whole! It has been so hard on the family, it really has been a challenge and I pray everday he will see the light and find his way back home someday! He truly is a great guy, just weak and feels like he is in this life alone!

I love my brother with all my heart! I know he has it in him somewhere to pull through! He is a great guy and has made a mistake like everyone else just more noticable and serious! Anyways I am so sorry for the somber state lately. I am not looking for sympathy or pity from anyone, that is not the reason for this post! Just to inform the circumstances that surround us!
