black friday...

Haha well it is true... McKay and I experienced and participated in this year for our very first time... EVER!!! So I'll take you through our very eventful night!!!

Well we woke up at 3:00 friday morning, grabbed a blanket in case we had to wait outside, and headed off to Wal-Mart! Where we were hoping to get the XBox package... it included the console, guitar hero 3 with the wireless guitar, and 6 bonus games!!! When we arrived at Wal-Mart there weren't too many cars outside so we thought we were in good shape! Once we got inside all the items they had advertised were in the middle of the aisle ways and all wrapped up so no one could get them before 5:00 o'clock, there were people everywhere... people had brought camping chairs and laptops and camped out by their items and just watched movies till time got close!

We found where the XBox package was and their were already like 8 people in a huddle around them and their was only 16 packages!! So we joined! The first hour went really slow! Once 4:00 hit it seemed like a million people were there... once they got to the back of the store where most of the sale items were they found it was so crowded that they were all ditching the shopping carts and it was just a mess for anyone to try to get anywhere.

Well as time neared we were getting nervous because people kept showing up... I was getting excited, a little claustrophobic, and some anxiety! It was nuts!!!

Anyways, 4:30 hit and this lady walked up to get in this huddle for the XBox and she pushed her way between McKay and some other lady when they were already shoulder to shoulder, she was very pushy and persistent about getting in their!... At each sale item they had an employee their with a razor to cut the wrapping off when the time came! Well 4:50 hit and the employees started opening them up and people were going nuts!!! I knew Kay wouldn't be pushy... plus my adrenaline kicked in and I jumped across this ladies cart in front of me and just dived in to get one! I mean I was sprawled out over it trying to rip one out of the pile! As soon as I got my hands on one I held on with all my might so no one would steal it and I just took off so I could get out of the mess and chaos!... I looked back and McKay was just sitting their watching these people go crazy... he was so amused and just laughing because people were just crazy... it looked like a bunch of dogs all fighting after one bone!

So black friday was a success for us this year and was fun! Yes, I thought it was a blast!!! I do have to say I would only go for really big items like electronics that I know are a good deal!!! Not for little toys I know I could get later for a couple bucks more!!!

After we got home it took us a while to get to bed because we were still all hyped up!!! But eventually did before Kay had to get up and go to work!!!

So we know our Christmas present, so no surprises this year but I will still wrap it up and open it on Christmas morning!!!

Happy Thanksgiving!!!...

This year for Thanksgiving McKay and I were at the Jones'! It was wonderful! The food was excellent and to be with family was even better! Mom Jones did an excellent job! Thanks!!!...

We are very blessed to have our family so close! We actually kinda went back and forth from house to house so we got to see both families! We have so much to be grateful for and happy we can set a day aside to really focus on all we are thankful and grateful for! McKay and I are so grateful for each other, for our families and this wonderful world to live in... and especially grateful for the Gospel!

Primary!!!

Well a couple of weeks ago McKay and I were called as primary teachers for our ward! We are teaching the 9 and 10 year olds! We have only been there one Sunday to teach and this upcoming one we have Sharing Time! I won't lie but I am really nervous, the last time I was in primary I was in there as one of the "good" kids!!! :) Anyways so I hope all goes over well on Sunday!!!

McKay was super nervous Sunday and still kinda not all sure about this calling! He is afraid to tell the kids to be quiet and sit down and listen and particapate with what is going on! He tells me I am the one that works with kids and knows how to handle them, so I should be the mean one! I just said it is good practice for ya, ;)!!! Anyways I am actually looking forward to this calling just nervous about this Sharing Time so if anyone has any great ideas especially with Thanksgiving the next week, feel free to share!!!

So McKay is taking a class in school right now called sports medicine! The last few weeks they have been learning how to tape ankles... anyways he always comes home and gets so excited to practice on me!!! So the other night he taped it and we were a little slap happy and decided to have a little fun with it!!!

Here is his signature and number!Here is a Get Well Soon :)!!!... Haha ya you may think it is a little stupid and childish for us adults but I find it fun and cute!!!... Just some random fun... Got to love it!!!...The tape around my toes was just extra tape that he had to put somewhere!!!...

Well to start off... Happy Birthday Beth J.!!! We wish you the best and hope your day was great!!!..

Okay so this may be a long post but I love pictures!!! So here it goes...

Well on thursday McKay woke up and wanted to open his present!... So he sat down in the living room to get ready for it!!! I was tricky with the way I wrapped his present so he couldn't guess what it was right off the bat... I had lots of fun with it too!!!

So here is McKay patiently waiting so I can take a picture!!!Here he just got finished unwrapping the first box and found the second box to unwrap!!!Here he is getting started on unwrapping the second box!!!Now he is going through all the newspaper trying to search for the actual present!!!Ta-Da!!!... The ring!!! What a cheese dog!!!...For his Birthday Breakfast I made him pancakes and eggs!!!... I hardly am able to make a good breakfast in the mornings cause I usually leave before him!!! So this is a nice change for the morning!!!I decorated his car!!! On one side I wrote "Honk it's my birthday!" and on the other side I wrote "24!"... I think he was kinda embarrassed to drive around in it :)!!!...Later that night we meet some friends and some of his old roommates at Texas Roadhouse to have a fun get together for his birthday... starting from the back left side of the table their was Earl, Ruben, Aubrey and Chace then skip to the back right side, Me, McKay Megan, and Colten! Thanks for coming guys it was lots of fun for us!!!...Friday night the Jones family and my family meet at my parents house and had an ice cream cake to celebrate both Kay's and Beth's birthday! They both turned 24 so I put 12 candles on one side and 12 on the other and they each blew out one of the halves!!! It was fun to have our families their to celebrate this fun time with us!!!...Here they are about to blow out the melting candles!!!...Last but not least the present my parents gave McKay was tickets to the BYU game and dinner afterwords!!! It was such a fun game and not even very cold!!! They Cougars killed the team they played! Go Team!!!... After the game Kay decided we would eat at the Old Spaghetti Factory!!! It was so so good!!!... By the way thanks to all you guys for being so nice and remembering Kay on his birthday... he couldn't believe how many people remembered and gave him something or text him or emailed!!! That was very thoughful... Thanks!!!

Happy Birthday my most favorite person in the whole world!!! I Love You birthday boy!!!...
As you can tell it is McKay's birthday! He turned 24... getting so old!!! I made him pancakes and eggs for the morning birthday breakfast! Then he opened his present and I felt bad cause it wasn't anything fun, no toy! I finally got him his ring!!! Long overdue, I could never find one I really liked! I am picky!... Anyways tonight he wanted to go play softball so we will go watch him play and then we are going out to dinner at Texas Roadhouse with a bunch of our friends to celebrate!!! It should be way fun!

Tomorrow we are headed to Enterprise after he gets off work and we will have ice cream and cake with the families! I got the best ice cream cake ever! Then saturday we are headed to a BYU game for his birthday to!!! It should be way way fun! I can't wait and I hope he really will and has enjoyed the day and all to come!!! I'll post the pictures of the fun after it's all over!!!

Some Halloween Fun!!! - 2008

Well McKay and I both had to dress up for work I didn't want to go out and spend money so I just threw on Kay's Laker jersey and went to the school as a Laker Fan! We bought Kay some paint and he dressed up as a tatooed devil!!! He looked way sexy as one to... kinda scary I know!!!... Well I went to work and they let the kids arrive in their costumes and walk around the track like a parade as the parents sat on the side and watched it... it was a way cute idea!!! Then they just partied the rest of the day! I spend most my days with Lainee she is a 3rd grader and she dressed up as a cheerleader she looked way cute... then Aby is another girl in our class and she dressed up as a witch... I asked her if she was a good witch or a bad one and she replied, "I am a MAD witch!" I laughed so hard!!! It was so cute!!!...

After work I went over to McKay's bank and visited for a while and to check out Kay and see if he really went through with his costume and he did... I really didn't think he would!!!

After my nice visit I went home to make some sugar cookies for fun! They turned out way good... and even shared with our neighbors!!! After the cookies I waited for Kay to get home from work and Sam and Toomey to get to our apt. with the pumpkins we were going to carve before the Halloween night got started!!! We each carved our own pumpkins and really didn't do anything to unusual just the good old fashion face!!!... After the carving Sam and her friend went to Thriller and I was way super jealous I so want to go!... Instead McKay and I headed over to my grandparents house and ate the famous and traditional Chili on Halloween night! It was so so so good!!!... and we got a nice trick or treat suprise at the door... my nephews!!! Tallon was the cutest Tiger ever!!!... and AJ was BATMAN!!! He was so serious like Batman to... it was cute!!! Aubrey decided to stay in Enterprise and trick or treat but she was a cute Princess!!!

We wish we could have seen our other nieces and nephews so show them off in their costumes so hopefully next year!!!
