So Isaac's birthday was on the 30th of December and I decided to make him a cake! I have always wanted to be able to decorate cakes and be good at it but I have never found the time or just got in and started practicing! Well here is an attempt at a Jazz cake! It turned out alright! I wish the Jazz was a darker purple but like I said it was alright!

Carter hit 10 months on the 12th of this month! He is growing and learning tons! We have so much fon with him!

A little bit about him:

he still only has the 2 bottom teeth! He loves to giggle and is getting really ticklish! he gets into everything! Especially those things he knows is a big No No! He loves to climb the stairs and loves to pull everything out of the cupboards! In fact we bought some baby proofing things for the kitchen in those cupboards we didn't want him in and none of the adults could get them undone so we bought a different kind and Carter and figured them out! He is way to smart!

For Christmas he kept getting into all the decorations... so when we needed to get some things done we stuck him in "the cage"!

We have been to a lot of SUU Men's games lately to give Dad some company! Doesn't Carter look so cute in his SUU warm ups!

Carter still loves baths! But hates getting dressed afterwards! He hates to get his diaper changed... he used to be so good about it! He loves to click his tongue! He loves to hear his voice! He LOVES food! Especially treats! He is very good at throwing tantrums in fact sometimes we try to get him to throw one just because it gives us a good laugh! He still loves Moms hair and I think I am losing it! He claps! Waves Hi and Bye!

So we have been sledding on 2 different occasions! Once pulling the kids around Grandma Jones' backyard! As you can tell it was warm outside with McKay in shorts!

A couple days later we went to a real sledding hill! we had Grandma J., Brett, Kim, Quinnlyn, Avery, Easton, Kayden, Treyson, McKay, Carter and I! We had a blast! It was a really HOT day and we so overdressed!

Christmas!

This year was such a fun one for us! Carter was the joy of Christmas for us! I loved to see him discover all the new things! The Wallin household got spoiled this year! Especially little Carterman!

We had church at 1 so we opened presents before church and my Mom made a fabulous breakfast!

Christmas Eve ~ Part 2

After we made cookies at Kyle's house we headed over to Great Grandpa and Grandma Ence's house where we hold the annual Christmas Eve party! Just as we were getting ready to eat though Brett and Kim's family walked in! It was such an awesome surprise since we thought they were in Indiana! Grandma I think was the most excited!

Christmas Eve ~ Part 1

The Jones' met at Kyle's house Saturday afternoon to make some sugar cookies and read the book " The Gift of the Christmas Cookie"! The kids really enjoyed cutting the cookies out and frosting them... especially when they could snitch some when no one was looking!

Well we sure had a fun Holiday season! One fun thing we got to go see and help get us in the Christmas spirit was being able to go see our niece Taya preform in a Christmas program! She did so good and was so cute singing and dancing!

Christmas Already???

Carter is so excited for Christmas! Even more excited is McKay and I! We can't wait to celebrate it this year with our little family! So the first weekend in December was the Ferguson Family Christmas Party! We went up north this year and had a good time! Carter got new jammies from Grandma Ferguson, those cute little plaid pants and the "$ is for counting" t-shirt dedicated to Grandpa Ferguson since this was his first year not being with us!
After the kids got into thier jammies Santa came! Carter didn't cry just held his hand out so Santa wouldn't get any closer than he had to!

This year we celebrated Thanksgiving with the Wallins! It was fun and we had tons of food and tons of family and a full house all weekend!

Wow time is flying faster than we want it to! He is getting big, learning lots and more fun than ever!

Some new things Carter is doing is he is a super fast crawler... he can get to anything and wants to be going 24/7! More times than not though he ends up getting hurt! He gets bruises all over his shins and his head he is always banged up with bruises under the eye above the eye between the eyes, you name it! He loves to be noisy! He screams, jabbers, sings and tells us the business! Still loves bathtime! Sleeping great at night! Loves to get into Grandma's Christmas decorations and loves to go see the lights around town! Got 2 teeth now... his bottom front! One broke thru Thanksgiving day and one broke thru 2 days after that! I would have never guessed he was teething he seemed fine... so go Carter for being so tough!

Trying to decide if he likes these decorations or not! They are loud and move towards him so he kinda gets scared!

He says Uh-Oh! He can stand be himself for a long time but no steps yet! He waves Hi/Bye-Bye! We are still working on blowing kisses and clapping! He loves it when we do it for him but refuses to do it on his own! He loves hair... he is constantly running his fingers thru my hair and it usually is the way we get him to sleep... hold him and let him play with my hair! Its really sweet and funny but on the occassion he yanks and OUCH! Pulls way to much hair out! He gets shy when strangers try to talk and play with him! he is still a momma's boy... I am not complaining! He loves to click his tongue on the roof of his mouth! He hates when we eat at the table and won't share and then try to flog baby food on him! He thinks he is big or something! Loves to pull everything off shelves or drop things on the ground when he is sitting in his high chair! He loves to hit balls and chase them around the house! He climbs stairs!

Still loves to read books!

He loves to take his socks off all the time! So instead of continually putting them back on McKay put them in his back pockets!

He is just so cute when he is sleeping!

We went on a playdate just before Thanksgiving with my friend Deleece and her girl Tylee! Tylee is a couple weeks older and it was a ton of fun! We still need to work on the sharing thing with Carter though!

Well I decided to try something new this year for McKay's birthday! Yes I am a little late posting this but better late than never!

So you should know McKay loves Oreo's! Instead of doing the same old ice cream cake or cake and ice cream... I did a Oreo dessert bar! I tried a lot of new recipes and did some old and I feel it turned out really well!

Well I am 8 days late on this but I have not had time! Plus its a picture overload but he is just too cute!

So what Carter is up to at 8 months!

He weighs 20 lbs 4 oz. in the 65th percentile and is 29 1/4 in. tall and in the 95th percentile for heighth... so a tall boy! He started to crawl at 7 1/2 months and now he pulls himself up on everything and is all over the place and just wants to crawl crawl crawl! He has the cutest giggle! The poor kid took after Mom and has exzema :(! He is starting to say Uh Oh! He says Uh but can't quite figure out the Oh part! He has eaten all the vegetables now and I am going to keep him on that for a while so no fruits yet! He still has no teeth but I have a feeling they are coming! He loves attention and loves to hear his own voice! He hits his head numerous times a day... poor kid! He loves food... cries when he is done with a bowl of cereal or vegetables! He is starting to throw little tantrums like when we take away something that is dangerous! He has a fun personality and is always greeting you with a smile! He loves to drink water and drinks really well out of a sippy cup, waterbottle and drinks through a straw! He loves bath time... it is probably his favorite time of day! He laughs at himself and has this fake laugh as almost a courtesy laugh to whoever he is with! He is starting to be a pill when it comes to naps! Thats all I can think of for now... growing everyday and learning more each day! So fun we can't get enough of him!

Life Lately...

Well where should I start! We are always on the go! McKay is almost done with this semester which means he only has one more! Yeah! He is doing the Athletic Training with the Men's Basketball team at SUU and is loving that! He has traveled once and might be the only time he travels which is good for me and Carter that way we can see him more... he is at all practices and home games so still gone more than we like but know it won't be forever! He is doing excellent in school!

We have been on a few gator rides before the weather got cold and Carter really enjoyed them and seemed to fall asleep most everytime!

We have been to most of Uncle Isaac's football games and it has been really fun to watch him play! He is a great player! But we are definitely excited about basketball season... that is our favorite!

Carter likes to go to the gym and watch Dad and Uncle Isaac shoot around and play some one on one! Carter usually chases after a ball or watches them play!

As for me I am just working and being a Mom... which I love! I ran in a 5K with my sister in October and both of us are currently doing the Biggest Loser Enterprise... so wish us luck!

We are super excited for the Holiday season especially since Carter is with us this year! It has been so fun so far and I know it will only get better!

Halloween ~ 2011

First off... I once wasn't a fan of Halloween but I have grown to love it! I think it is an excuse to party make yummy food and bring in the cold weather and begin the Holiday season! Second my pictures aren't in order so you'll just have to deal with it!

Sunday night I rounded up the family and we carved pumpkins! I thought it would be fun for Carter to play in the middle! So we stripped him down and let him play with all the goo and slimy stuff from the pumpkins! We had to make sure the binky stayed in so none was eaten so he isn't smiling but he loved loved loved it!

We miss her lots! She sure has been on my mind lately... so much has happened since we lost her and for the good... but I do wonder what life would be like with her around! It is crazy to think how big she would be and all the things she would have learned and known by now! I am happy to know she is safe though and that I can be with her once again... I do get selfish and wish she could be with us but know all that has happened is for a reason! We show Carter her picture all the time and he loves to just look at it, he gets so calm and has some of the sweetest smiles as he looks at it and you just know without a doubt he knows who it is!

Well we stayed in Kansas city after we left Independence. In the morning we woke up and headed to Denver where we stayed and then finally the last day we headed home and finally arrived in Utah again! Carter was the most amazing kid! He was the perfect passenger for such a long long drive! It is like he knew he needed to just be an angel cause we had to get home and we needed to drive no matter what! He slept most the driving time and still slept at nights so... yes, what a kid, right?! RIGHT!

Loved to finally get to the hotels at night! It meant play for a couple hours before bed time! He loved that time of day the most!

We had to stop every 4 hours to feed the kid of coarse so he got a little break from the carseat every once in a while! One of our stops thinking he is a big boy and driving the car!

Yeah!!! We are finally in UTAH! Almost home!

One of the states back east we were driving thru had a town called Cartersville! We had to get a picture for our Carterman!

We had a great trip! It could not have gone any smoother for us! Happy our car ran well and Carter did well and super happy for the experiences we had and the places we were able to see and again especially grateful for the Amberson's for letting us stay with them for the summer! Great summer experience and interested to see where we will end up next summer!

Day 4 (part 3) ~ Liberty Jail

After Carthage we headed to Liberty, Missouri to visit Liberty Jail!

The basement of the jail is where the prisoners stayed it was barely tall enough for some to stand and others couldnt stand! They either hunched or sat of layed! Joseph stayed here on one of Missouri's worst winters ever! So it was cold and miserable!

When they built this jail they made sure no one could get out! The outer rock wall was 3 ft. thick, then was the middle rock layer which was loose rock so if the prisoners got through the wood layer the loose rock would fall and alarm the guards the prisoners were trying to escape! Then comes the inner layer which was a foot of heavy wood beams! There also was no way out from the inside the door could only be accessed by the outside!

After Liberty we headed to Independence and visited the visitors center and the Temple Site!

Day 4 (part 2) ~ Carthage

After we looked around Nauvoo we headed to Carthage to tour Carthage Jail! It was awesome! Carter was so happy to be out of the car he couldn't quit talking while the tour guide was trying to tell us the story it was so cute and funny!

The jail is actually a house where the jail keeper stayed with his family and the prisoners! So the family lived in the downstairs and where they kept the prisoners was upstairs!

So here is a picture of the room where the prisoners initially stayed!

We woke up on our fourth day of travel and touring and started at the Nauvoo Visitors center getting a feel of places we wanted to go and see! Nauvoo was different then I had imagined but I loved it! McKay had been there once before and was happy to be back!

So we arrived on Friday night at Brett and Kim's house and stayed the night and woke up the next day where we stayed for the majority of the day to have some fun and play!

Trip Back Home!

So we decided to take the scenic route home from Florida and see some things if we were going to be traveling a long ways anyway! So instead of going through Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, New Mexico and Arizona then Utah! We went from Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois, Missiouri, Kansas, Colorado then Utah! I would say we saw the majority of the United States :)! We left Florida on Thursday the 11th of August around 3 and headed to Atlanta, Georgia where we stayed the night! We woke up Friday and headed to the Georgia Aquarium, we had heard it was way awesome and it is the biggest aquarium in the US!

We Love this Kid! 6 months has come and gone and way to fast! He is so smart and learning new things everyday!
He loves attention! Loves to grab everything, eat everything he gets his hands on! He loves to roll, usually in circles because he definitely favors rolling to his left! He is a jabber mouth! Loves to hear his voice! He has the cutest giggle! Finds Mom the funniest... because I am obviously! He is sitting up! He loves his Johnny Jumper! Loves watching Uncle Isaac play football! Still in size 3 diapers and needs to go to 12 month clothes but I am putting it off because I feel like if I put him in them he will not be my baby anymore! He will be this big grown up boy!

I don't know where to even start! These Amberson's are the most AMAZING people ever! They took Carter and I in and treated us like angels! They were fun, funny so easy to live with, Beth is an amazing cook, we had great talks and those kids are the biggest helpers you will ever see! Carter misses them everyday... so do we! It was just the best summer stay we could have asked for!

NASA Trip

So we are finally home from Florida and actually have been for about 3 weeks but we have been super busy adjusting back to life and school and work so I am just now getting around to updating and I have a lot to get caught up on! So first McKay was able to make some great friends this summer with the other interns and was able to do some fun things with them while in Orlando! Their were 14 interns 6 boys and 8 girls!

Here he went bowling with a few of them... Yichen, Chase, Brittany, McKay in the back then Mike, RJ and Taylor!

The interns were able to go to Kennedy Space Center and tour the complex and were able to go in places that either only astronauts or employees could go so they were able to get the special treatment!

Carter At 5 Months

This kid just keeps growing and getting so big! We LOVE having him around and its fun to seem him grow and develop!

Carter still loves attention, he loves the sound of his voice he screams, squeals, has this dry yell I don't know how else to explain that one but just loves to hear his voice! He still will imitate things we do he likes his binky now believe it or not! After 4 1/2 months of hating it he likes it... silly boy! Everything is still going directly to his mouth! He loves toys and books! He can sit up by himself for a minute or two so not to bad I bet he will be sitting up by himself before long! He is starting to get scared of other people he doesn't know! He is very strong and loves his toes! Still loves water and taking baths and going swimming! Usually puts him to sleep though! Loves to look at pictures of his sister it calms him right down! The thing I love the most is his big blue eyes and his sweet smile!

Day Trip to Orlando

Well Carter and I were able to go down to Orlando on Saturday to send a little time with McKay! We decided to go over to Kay's work and buy some stuff and get a few pictures we were not able to get before!

Well McKay had a day off last weekend so we got him up here to have a little fun then went back down with him to Orlando to tour his home away from home! He got here late Friday night and we tried to get Carter to show him all his new tricks but Carter wasnt having it so we went to bed and woke up the next day to do some swimming!

~4th of July~

So Carter and I flew into Jacksonville Sunday July 3rd and got home to a full house at the Amberson residence! Lance, Emilee, Kelli and her friend Kristina had gone on a cruise and now were chillin with the Amberson's till they flew home! So Monday we woke up and went to a parade down by the river! It was hot!

So we were happy to see him! After he got there we ate some yummy dinner then headed down to the river to watch some fireworks!

Carterman At 4 Months!

We LOVE this kid!So Carter is a growing kid! He weighed 16 lbs 8 oz right around the first of July and was 25 1/2" long! We are missing his 4 month appt. since we are in Florida and will get it done when we get back! He loves to watch everything that is going on around him that includes TV, basketball games, and his cousins running around! He has the cutest laugh and squeals all the time! He loves to talk and started rolling over 2 days before his 4 month mark and found his feet a day before! He loves to sing with me, he still loves his baths and likes showers to! His hair is finally growing back and he still loves attention! His hands are constantly in his mouth he grabs everything and usually that goes right to his mouth! He is in 6 to 9 month clothes and still has his double chin! He likes books and any noisy toy you give him! He is very strong and silly! When one his toys he likes! Thanks Amberson kids for sharing your toys!

So Carter and I flew home to Utah on June 6th for my cousins wedding! I was so nervous to do it alone with a baby but we went and Carter did amazing! He was such a champ... everyone on the plane couldn't get over how cute and good he was! So for his 1st plane ride it went great! After we got to Utah the next week we headed up to the wedding in Salt Lake and it was beautiful and fun!

So at 3 months Carter weighs 16 lbs. 1 oz. and is 25 in. long!
Yes he gained 4 lbs. in just under a month! He is getting so big and is so fun and is hair is starting to grow back! -He still loves his sleep! -He loves the bath and swimming! -He loves to give smiles! -He has big blue eyes! -He loves stroller rides! -He loves the carseat... falls right to sleep! -He has a sweet, mild kinda whatever roll with it personality and, -He loves attention! -He hates loud noises! -He hates being left alone for him to entertain himself! -He does not like the bright sun!

We went to the BEACH!!! I love the beach! It was so fun! The water was warm, we had a nice breeze, good company and Carter loved his first time there!

~Camp Blanding~

On Memorial Day we went to Camp Blanding! Its a lake... whats so great about this lake is its fresh water has very soft sandy beaches and about 15 feet from the water is shady picnic areas! The water is also only about knee length/mid thigh for about 50 feet so the kids could have fun swimming around but also could touch... which makes it nice for parents! We went with a few friends and neighbors of the Amberson's and it was way nice and way fun!!!

So I think we will just nickname him the sleep swimmer! I would have liked to get more pictures of Carter in the lake and doing this sleep swimming thing he does so well but McKay wasn't able to come and its hard to take pictures of him in the water while trying to hold him! So I just got this picture of him sleeping while we eat some lunch!

Well it was the first swim of the year and the first swim ever for Carter! When we got to the pool Carter had fallen asleep... we stuck his feet in a couple times and he squirmed and wimpered but still never officially woke up... after the first initial shock of the water he didn't even seem to notice it after that! He slept the whole time we were there and right as we were leaving he woke up... what a silly boy we have!

So Carter actually had his 2 month appt. 10 days early since we were headed out to Florida!

He weighed 12 lbs. 5 oz. which put him at 79%, was 24 1/4" tall which put him at 95 %, and his head was 15 1/2 at 47%. So we have a really tall chubby boy and we LOVE it!

Watching mom fold some clothes!At 2 months Carter is... only waking up once during the night, almost out of 0-3 month old clothes, focusing on who is talking to him, smiling lots, loves bath/shower time, still hates being naked, loves his sleep, very content... harldy ever cries, loves attention and snuggling! He is growing faster than I would like but it is so fun to see him develop!

Fun in Florida!

So the first official day we were in Florida we were able to go watch Kennedy play soccer! It was so much fun... especially for me since I am a soccer nut! She did awesome and even scored a goal!

Our Long Drive to...

FLORIDA!
It actually wasn't to bad... we left Wednesday afternoon and drove to Alberquerque, NM then continued the next day to Shreveport, LA and then Friday we finished the trek and arrived to the Amberson residence at 10:30 p.m.! Carter did absolutely amazing the only time he wanted to be out of his carseat was 3 hours left of our trip so from a 36 hour drive that's pretty dang good! Of course we stopped everytime he needed to eat so total trip time was longer than 36 hours!
Here is our mirror than let us keep an eye on him from the front seat and was actually really helpful so a great purchase on our part!

Carter's first stay in a hotel room!

This is at one of our stops in Mississippi... he is so happy to be out of the carseat and up with Mom and Dad!

McKay got to spend Saturday and Sunday with us then headed down Monday morning to Orlando to start his internship... which was May 9th! He then was actually able to come back up Wednesday and Thursday of that week to visit again and but left Thursday afternoon to get back to do some homework believe it or not! He has been down ever since but will be able to come up this Saturday and Sunday the 21st and 22nd to play for a bit! We are looking forward to that!
A little about his experience so far...
The events they had this past weekend were the Special Olympics which he said was neat and the Florida Ironman! This week so far he has just been doing educational classes and taking field trips. He is the only Mormon out of 14 interns and has already had a chance to be a missionary and share the gospel which I think is awesome for him to be able to do! Hopefully he can continue to share with those around him!

Carter's Blessing Day!

Sunday May 1st we were able to bless our Carter McKay! It was such a special great day! I was nervous that he would scream during the blessing because that morning when we were getting him dressed he sure wasn't happy... but he was great! McKay gave a beautiful blessing... I am so grateful he is a worthy priesthood holder and I know Carter is to!Carter is such a blessing in our life... he has filled it with joy and love and brings such a sweet spirit into our home! We are so happy he made it here safe and sound!

Easter w/ Wallin's

Well Easter morning we colored some eggs then got ready for church and enjoyed a great Sacrament meeting! When we got home we ate... then hunted for easter eggs and baskets! We sure got more candy then we needed! Carter and McKay sure had a hard time finding his easter basket!

Saturday we went to STG to go to Colin and Beth's! The boys went out back and helped get her weeds out so she could put a slide out back for the kids to play on and then we went to the park and had a picnic and a candy search for the kids! I think all the kids really enjoyed it!

AJ's 5th Birthday!

AJ's Birthday actually fell on Easter this year so we celebrated it on Friday! We had a BBQ at Felicia's house and man was it good!

He is growing to fast and time is going by so fast! I am not sure I am okay with it! Carter turned 6 weeks on the 23rd of April... he is getting chunky and its so cute! He is a growing boy! He is such a good baby he is starting to smile lots more and he attempts to laugh but can't quite figure it out! He still grunts all the time... its so cute and funny! We love to go on walks when we have a good day and he loves to be held and already loves everyones attention!

Here are some pictures from Carter's Newborn shoot! I liked so many I had a hard time deciding what ones to post so there is a lot! We had Shanley Melessa do them and she did amazing! I really liked how they turned out and highly recommend her! Poor girl though... Carter was not very workable! He one: hates to be naked, two: hates to be man handled so posing him was a chore, and three: he loves to be cuddled... but she got some great shots whether he was wanting them or not!I just love this picture and how they are looking into each others eyes like they are best buds!This is my all time favorite picture!Our happy family!

Great News!!!

McKay got offered and accepted an Athletic Training internship at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando Florida! We and especially him are way stoked!We will be there all summer, from the first of May to August! He will be helping with camps, tournaments and well anything sports related that is going on there! They have just about any sport you can think of, Softball, Baseball, Soccer, Tennis, Track and Field, Cross Country, Lacrosse, Football, Volleyball and much more!

We just absolutely love this kid!Yes he found his thumb!and againand yes again...The closest we could get to getting a picture of him smiling!His first real bath and he loves them! He does however not like being naked, putting on lotion, or changing his diaper!Chillin' on the couch while mom did some housework!Sleepin' with dad!Handsome Man!and trying to find his thumb!Mom and Carter-ManThis kid is fun! He hit 2 weeks old on Saturday and we can't believe how fast time is going!

So a little info on Carter at 2 Weeks!

He LOVES... to be held, to grunt (Seriously it is the funniest thing! He grunts all the time!), to be fully clothed, sleeping

He DISLIKES... getting his diaper changed, being naked, sleeping in his crib, getting lotion put on after the bath

HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY!!!On Tuesday, the 22nd, we celebrated Hadlee's 1st Birthday! I can't believe it's been a year! So much has happened...

~We went to San Fran ~We got pregnant again! ~McKay started his second degree at a new school! ~We had little brother Carter join the family! ...those are just a few of the big things, this list could continue forever!

For Hadlee's Birthday we went out Tuesday morning and put up some flowersThen Dad had to go to school so me and Carterman hung out at home! We had a birthday dinner and then of course some ice cream cake since that is Dad's favorite... and the three of us blew out her candle!Right before dinner though we went back out to the grave and took a family picture!Thanks to all of you out there that helped make that day a special one for us... and to those you put stuff on her grave! It really meant a lot!!! Her sweet little hands and feet!

Can't forget all that hair...The start of our family!We cherished the time we got to hold you and be with you... you brought ans bring so much joy, love and blessings to our lives! We miss you everyday! We love you very much Hadlee Jean and can't wait to see you again someday!
